Daniel Münich is Professor of Professional Practice of Economics at CERGE-EI in Prague, the joint academic workplace of the Centre for Economic Research and Graduate Education at Charles University and the Economic Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences. He has more than 15 years of academic experience with empirical and policy oriented research in the areas of labour market policies, education and schooling. He is author of numerous policy oriented research based articles and reports. He also has rich experience from various policy advising activities to domestic governmental and NGO bodies and international organizations such as the EU, OECD, World Bank, and IMF. As an independent non-partisan academic expert, he has served in several governmental and other advisory bodies. In particular, he has served as the SYSDEM/EEPO country expert, independent academic expert in the National Council of Economic Advisors of the Czech government, and independent academic expert advising to the Legislative board of the Czech governmental office. He had been involved in number of policy oriented research projects in the areas of labour market policies and education.
